No way. As a matter of fact, nobody apart my wife can drive it. Let alone a complete stanger.
Just to be plain, when the car was serviced the mechanic (whom anyway I fully trust) had clear instructions NOT to run the car when everything was finished.
I went there afterhour and tested the car myself.

    Ciao

I park it myself, tip the Valet and if they insist on the keys they get my "Valet Key", one that was left over from one of my cars and has a Horse on it. Comes on a nice Ferrari Keychain and makes them happy. They can not even get in.

Don't forget to give them your phone number in case they have to move it!

I do. Generally they only back it up to the front door so they don't go too far anyway.

When I get mine, well, it depends if the lead valet is around. They're the one who will give the most consideration to your car. I worked for FoD as their only valet so I've had my fair share of f-cars to park/drive but I wouldn't let most of the valets I know park my own Ferrari, just because the car is so different from the Boxsters they're used to.

Hmmm let's see - should I let a total stranger drive my $300,000 car with F1 transmission that emits the distinct smell of burning clutch at creep speeds if you edge it along too slowly? That's a tough call.

Yes, but only at familiar restaurant. At my dad's favorite restaurant the valet hit a car he said pulled out in front of him. Bumper/area around wheel well need repainting. :(

Still valet it though! (well, usually, they don't take it far. They might just leave it out front for display... :D

Both of my sons, in their early twenties, have extensive experience as valet parkers in S Calif.

I never did let anyone valet my cars, and after their stories, I now know I was absolutely correct.

For example, valets seem to somehow know that car "X" is faster than car "Y".
