"One mans junk is another mans art"
Even in there finaldays these F-cars have more style than most.

The parts alone are worth a mint! I can only imagine the folks at SpA grabbing some little yellow boxes and stripping those cars clean. The margin on "recycled" parts would be huge.

Yeah, that picture pops up on FChat once in awhile. They're just factory test vehicles.

Even if they are factory test vehicles, I would take one. I want to build a bed for my son out of the front clip of a Ferrari, very expensive I know, but if cars are just laying aroung like this, I would gladly take one away to free up some space on the lot.

I'm sure they have very specific reasons as to why they keep their wrecked "mules" in a heap out back, but you would think that if all they're going to do is let them rot in a big old pile, then they could justify parting them out, if not for on-road use, at least then for novelty purposes.

I remember seeing that picture and thinking, 'You know...I could fix those and make them drivable,' and wishing to get one. :)

Also reminds me of the Lamborghini factory photos with test mules out back and a cat that made its home in one of them. Lucky cat. :D

As a media professional, I have to tell you guys, this is a fake. Look at the bottoms of the tires for the giveaways.

Now, if you want to see some real artistry...

My daughter, stationed in Iraq, heard that one of the guys found one of Saddam's 308's. See my separate string.

No fake, it's just pieced together from 2 separate shots. I know, because I created that in MSPaint about a year ago from the larger pics and shrunk it to that size. It's either the same pic or someone else did the same. Funny seeing it back here again.

This photo, and the subject matter have come up before. Those are test vehicles from the federally required crash safety tests. All of those cars will be TOTALLY shredded and you can thank the wonderful world of lawyers for that fact. Of course the majority of those cars and/or parts are perfectly usable. But if Ferrari sold some BOZO one of those cars or parts thereof and he wrecked the car and injured and or killed somebody, there would be 1000 lawyers standing in line just foaming at the mouth in anticipation of filing a lawsuit against Ferrari for allowing the release of damaged merchandise that were involved in crash tests. So Ferrari as well as other manufacturers usually ship their crash test cars to several contract salvage yards for TOTAL destruction.

There now, doesn't that pile of "soon to be scrap" Ferraris give you a nice warm feeling toward the legal profession?

Does anyone have reliable data on how Ferraris fare in crash testing ? Would doubt that they get 5 stars on the Euro NCAP.

Yep, pic is from CAR in 98-99 or so. Factory crash test graveyard. They did story on Lambo graveyard too, prob 15? years ago. Sad, but a good cause. If I get time, I'll check archives for issue #
