    Chaps,

What do you think of these wheels for a 328 - they were on a 328 GTB at the Auto Salon when I picked up my Ferrari, and I have liked them since..any idea what model they are from?

It's generally a nice looking wheel, but you'd want to confirm the quality. It might just be the pic, but the lug holes look very oval. That is normally a sign of a low price aftermarket wheel. They cast the wheel with the ovals to allow any bolt pattern to be put in without changing the appearance, some times the lug holes are even oval so one wheel fits all (a very bad design, but common very in the '80s, I think they called it uni-lug).

Aren't they a 348 design? I saw a 308 on Ebay with 348 wheels, and they looked pretty good.

If you buy these and currently have 16" five stars that would fit on my 308, please let me know. I currently have gold Gotti honneycombs that I want to get rid of.

To me they look like the Mito wheel from OZ, very high quality wheel if the are, could also be Speedline Aliseo, they make the factory whhels for some models for Ferrari

I believe they were the modular option for 348. I am sure there are many aftermarket copies, some good, some not.

OK, you made me look it up. 348 GT Competizione had three piece Speedline wheels (identical or real close to your picture). Source - Original Ferrari V8 by Keith Bluemel. The ones you saw on the 328 were these wheels or a good copy. I think they are Speedlines, but even if they are not, there should be a few sources and manufactureres of this style.

I saw this car on Ebay a few years ago and the seller said they were 17 inch Speedlines.

These rims are a definite winner for the 348.

To me, they make the 308 look like a kit car.. I would put no bigger that a 16' rim.

Someone in the F-Chat put 18' Modena rims on his 308.. Looks great cause he lowered the car.......

Bigger the rim, lower the car must go..

    My 2 cents

Although I like the wheels, I have to agree with Ron, they look good on a 348, but on a 3X8, they make the car look kit carish (if that’s a word).

Tis a fair point sir. Thanks all for voting..mixed reactions but I think I wheely won't go for them after all..my rims are in A1 condition as it is, and they are the ones Enzo intended, so who am I to argue?

    Cheers,

    Marc
