http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5826 Malcolm, sorry to labour this point, but i can't find reference to hood tool anywhere in my owner's manual. Here's a digi-pic of the relevant page; Thnks. Tony Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks , Zan. Morning Malcolm, me again ! I'm really sorry to keep hassling you about this. The pages from my manual are below, none are missing and i can't see a ref. to hood tool at all and it isn't in tool kit .Is the switch shown in page H48 in place of hood tool? Tony
I think the problem is down to the manual, yours is different to mine.Yours has one pic a page mine has two, so we can assume the text may be different. In my manual there are both pics on one page. This is a part of the text."If failure persists, the top can be closed using the suitable emergency tools placec in the tool kit". My manual does not refer to a specific hood tool kit. Saying that i have seen a leather pouch in my mates spider that he keeps his cleaning cloths in. Another point while i am here, there is no jack for the 355 but it is shown in the manual.
Morning Tony, The switch shown on H48 is to be used when the switch on the consol fails, the tool kit is used when the is a total roof failure and the use of the emergency switch doesn't work. I think your manual must have been one of the first editions - does it have a print date on the back cover or on the inside of the first page ? Cheers Malcolm MW
Malcolm , sorry for delay in replying. there are print and catalogue codes. Does cat- refer to yr,ie 1995? cat-971/95 code- 95990181 Tony
Tony, It would seem that maybe the early handbooks didn't have the full information regarding the roof operation, so maybe the cars that had the early handbooks didn't have a tool kit. Does your car have a velcro strip down by the handbrake Cheers Malcolm MW
Malcolm, no it doesn't . I've been onto dealer who sold me the car to find out of it came with the tool... Tony
