    This one comparing a Lotus V8 to a 355 is particularly interesting:

    Why is it that Lotus V8 owners unanimously say they'd never trade their car for a 355, including F-chat owning Lotus members, yet every journalist in every single magazine in both Europe and the US picks the 355 overwhelmingly when they head-to-head them.

    Asking seriously, what is that owners "get" about that car that short term testers don't?

    I personally would never trade my Lotus for a 355. I also think that articlewas written when the Lotus had the old interior, old ecu and brakes. The Esprit is much more car than the 355.
