    Whatever chances he had, after coming in third place in Iowa, are over after that bizarre freak-show he performed on national TV tonight. Good riddance. What were his supporters thinking? This guy was going to win the White House? He was a Republican dream-come-true.

    Good thing he is a doctor and can write his own prescriptions. He is going to need them.

    I didn't see it on TV but I did hear the clip of Dean that Drudge has up and it sounds like he has some real potential in professional wrestling.

    Getting pumped up for a steel cage match....Yaaaaeeeeeaaaahhhaaarrrgh

    I dunno... some news show last night showed statistics from past elections and mentioned that Clinton only got 3% in Iowa back in '92. There's more states than this one...

    Actually, I would have preferred Dean as the Dem's nominee... ;-)

    Robin is right, though: means little. Gephardt won Iowa in 1988, and we all know how that turned out.

    It would have been nice if he finished stronger...it would help the republican cause...but not to worry, Dean's not going to fade away with his ego and (reportedly) 30 million dollar war chest...

    When I heard it on the radio, I thought it was a poor taste joke that some one was doing a screaming Dean concession speech as Adof Hitler. The fact that it was real is scary. Don't think the American public is going to want an emotionally labile guy at the helm. But, there are a lot more states left....
    It really was straight out of the WWF (or Mein Kampf)

    If you look in the past Iowa has almost never been an indication as to who will take the presidency. Just wait until we get to some more states. New Hampshire primaries are coming up :)

    Even still, despite opinions, I think if there will be a democractic president at all, Dean will take it. However, incumbents are hard to beat...so this will be a close one.

    dean is a wacko. too bad he won't win the nomination, it would have been fun to see who he picked as vp - jesse jackson maybe?

    the d ticket is going to be kerry/edwards. they will be a much tougher team to beat.

    side note/question: is an international coalition not an international coalition if france and germany aren't in it?
