thanks for the link i had forgotten all about luca's 360 barchetta. didnt he get it as like a birthday present from his own company.
umm what would be the difference between a 360 spider and a 360 barchetta? hardtop that is useless beyond 70?
Well, i'm used to being in the minority... i think it's beautiful... Sorry folks, but it is... Would love to see it in person...
I would give it to my son (if he was 16) and tell him to be home before dark and not to cross the Boulevard! DL
This thing is not beautiful but it kicks ass...F40 , Stradale etc couldnt keep up with it at Magny Cours..and the Sound..OMG !
this post is so cool because i was thinking of what i could do to my car if i wanted to take it off street and use it as a track day toy. my ideas were very similar to this! how can any enthusiast not appreciate someone making a car into their personal concept? i bet this thing flies as it probably lost about 1000 lbs and could have over 350 hp easy. much rather play with this than 355c
Barchetta is a designation for dedicated open cars (check out the 166MM). The windscreen is usually cut down a few inches in a Barchetta. Spyder or spider usually means it's a fully functional convertible. In the cases of the 550 Barchetta and the F50 (in Barchetta configuration), an emergency soft top, for the times you get caught out in the rain, is included. I think you mean the aftermarket hardtop for the 550 Barchetta. Don't know if that will stay put above 70MPH. If you checkout pictures of the 360 Barchetta, you will notice that there's no provision for a top and the windscreen is very low.
Below is one of many sites with the pictures. Do a search in Yahoo if you want more. http://www.*************/garages/marcusmv3/44v2.html
