Boyhood Bedroom Poster: Countach or Testarossa

Countach. Although a Vector poster occupied the space for a while.

 

I will have to be the lone wolf in this age bracket.......Mine was a Lotus Esprit Turbo. Boy, 260 hp seemed like alot back then.

 

I had both. I still think both are great cars for different reasons. The TR was my favorite car and also the first Ferrari I bought. Even in 1997 when I bought it there was nothing else built at the time that I wanted. I traded a practically brand new 993 for it.

I also loved the Countach. In contrast to the TR it wasn't a beautiful but it looked so agressive and at the time was a cutting edge design.

I don't think you can call one better than the other (though AllanLambo certainly will).

The TR was the most beautiful GT cruiser while the Countach was the ultimate supercar and really defined the term SUPERCAR!!

Heres the poster I have on my wall now. It reminds me why my parents are spending over 100k on me.

Bottom line is that it is you and that makes you successful! And success is defined in many ways.

All that philosophy aside, those cars in the poster are bad @ss and I want them...I want them all!

Never had car posters/pictures as a kid, but coincidentally, i have a red Countach at one end of my apartment and a yellow Testarossa at the other...

Countach, I had a 6' poster of a red countach sitting sideways across a road that was backed styrofoam. It sat in my room when I was growing up (since mid 80's) and now proadly sits on the center of my garages back wall.

 

Looking at that picture, i see that they kept each garage spot the same as the older one except for the 'Vette; why'd the ditch the 'Vette for the Viper, anyone know...? Not that i care, i'd take a Viper over a 'Vette, just wondering...

NEW: 360 911 SL55(?) 'Viper Z8

 

Wouldn't rival for Countach have been 512bb at the time ? My choice between those 2 would be 512bb....

 

You'd think with all that money they would have built a deeper garage to get the cars all the way in.

 

Countach. I had that poster as well as a diablo made into a cop car. Also had a clack diablo with a dark red background that I drooled over for days.

 

I had a poster of Farrah Fawcett...

 

Just Farah Fawcett with the towel in the back and nipples.

No car posters.

 

Had the Alpine poster in mine for quite some time.

I had the black Countach in the desert at dusk with the doors perched opened. The 'good' pictures were under the carpet in my closet!

 

I had an F40 LM poster.

 

I had a white countach on a tiled black and white floor, a red TR, and a red F40 side shot. Loved all 3!

 

A long time ago...I actually had both of them. A white countach and 2 Testarossa posters. Eventually, Ferraris began to weed out all the others!!!
