I was trying to find a website that lists state by state property taxes, anyone have any ideas where I could find this? Or does it vary by counties? Is it % based of appraised value usually? Thanks for the help.

It does vary by county - at least in California it does. I'm assuming there is a base tax for the state and then countries tack on what they want. Similar to the way sales tax works.

Varies by City in Texas and quite a bit I might add, all the new suburb growing cities are up around 3% total, some places are in the 1's.

Don't mind as we don't pay any state income tax, that use to kill me in Kansas and Mass.

Does anyone know if there's any places left that don't have a residential property tax?
