So many people dont have thier profile filled out or a picture. I know there must be a good reason, I just dont know what it is. I mean, it just asks for very general stuff: hobbies, what cars you own, ect. Id like to know a little bit about the people im talking to and who are giving me advice. Also, why dont people have a pic. of their car? I read about all these great Fcars people own, but when I go to their profile to see a pic its usually empty or has some girly picture. Not saying I think they dont have the car (you'd have to be pretty sick and messed up to tell a lie just to impress a bunch of strangers), Id just like to see a picture of it. You know?

    Yep, sure does!

I think they don't put the photo in there because they are afraid of being Photoshopped onto some asian babe in her underwear, who wants to know if she's hot, or onto a picture of Napolean, or something like that.

    Your mom doin' better, Will?

Hmmm....Good point. I browsed through my collection of photochops and 90% of them are of DES/Carbon and most of the rest are Allan Fiedler.

even if they just put some vague data about their location - that helps a lot of times to answer various questions "where can i get a PPI?", "what should my insurance cost", "how can i figut a ticket?". etc.

Personally, I've got some good shots, but can't figure out the "resize to 640 x 640" thing.

I guess I'll have to get a teenage kid in here!

I think maybe some of the "inner circle" told him to chill out.

    Thanks for the offer!

Click on User CP which is under the Ferrarichat logo on the upper right side of your screen. Then click on Avatar which will take you to the control panel for changing both the avatar and profile pic. Browse for a pic the same way you would for uploading one to a post. Then click on the submit modifications button and you are done.

    Yes and Yes

Go to the "image" pull down menu and click on "stretch/skew". Then change the percentages.

Here's the page which lists their product downloads. Choose the "FREE" Photo Resizer download. http://www.showyourphotos.com/features.html

I like this program because you can type in the exact size conversion dimensions and the resolution quality percentage that you desire for the resize.

back on topic, and just my opinion, but perhaps there are those that would like to remain unknown. having the means to have a fcar goes along with fame and power , to an extent. by this i mean i will get a 308 something or similar, which is peanuts compared to the $$$ a newer or vintage ferrari cost or is worth. also while i am standing on my box, in this day and age of thieves of all types, i have noticed with some concern how much info some circulate so freely. i am pretty much a nobody but there are those here who are not. profiles are great as a tool to get to know or try to meet others in your state or area, but safety of ones family is the priority over all others. imho

Well I drive a "308 or something similar" and I am proud of it. Ive never felt intimidated by someone with a f40 or enzo. Im just gald to have a ferrari. And as for the security thing, you are right, but I dont think sharing what cars you drive or your profession is that risky, just my opinion.
