At its best, Barrett Jackson is an expensive ($80 4-day pass to be part of the crowd) circus with very few exceptional Ferraris crossing the block. The R&M auction today http://www.rmauctions.com/ (the auction announcement was removed from the web site last night) at the Biltmore in Scottsdale usually has more high-end cars, and the Russo and Steele http://www.russoandsteele.com/ auction today and tomorrow is smaller and less of a zoo. The Phoenix auto ads explode this week with every classic and exotic coming out of the woodwork.

Too bad Barrett's website is slower than my old Commador 64.

Was fun watching that last night - Some cars go for some pretty good prices. What is strange is the extremely high commissions both the buyer & seller pay - And the cars don't seem to fetch a premium.

Both the buyer and seller pay 8%. On a 50K car, the auction house is the real winner at $8K!
