Dump as in grounds were not kept up properly, the pool area needed some tlc, it seemed like there was water damage in the back of the hopuse too, can't exactly say how it got that way, but it looked it. Wiring was aslo below standard, we plugged in an Arriflex to do some filming in a tight area, and a 300 watt camera was acting like it was not getting enough power.

Hopefully it has been taken care of to get it on the market.

Usually they are dumps AFTER we film there. I for one would never let a film crew shoot at my place.

  4. Its really stupid when people over price Houses,Cars and Items because of the name of a person famous that lived or owned the property. That house isnt worth 29 million for 9-12 million you can get twice the property right on the beach in Miami or Ft.laudurdale.

That house was also on Mtv cribs a while ago also wasnt anything special. Not saying its a ugly house but not worth 29 million.

But it's NOT in Miami or Ft. Laudurdale. And that's why it will certainly trade for more than 12 million.

    LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.

I love real estate and always keep my eye on the high end, just for the sake of curiosity. Here are some that are pretty outrageous:

This one I believe is 75 million. Although the property isn't on the ocean, the estate has a U.S.G.A.-rated golf course, with nine drilled holes designed to be played in both directions; a 25,000-square-foot main house; 65 acres; and three ponds, one of which is so large it's described as lakelike. :

    On the water in Greenwich:

Jesus! Now those are some expensive homes! I thought ours was nice since it more than doubled in value over hte last 6 years, but its no 44,000 sq. ft. estate :)

Have you guys forgotten about the single greatest personal mansion ever? Having seen it in person, it is AMAZING! Even more amazing how people can achieve that much wealth in their lifetime.

  8. House that are 40-70 million isnt usally for the size or what it has but location and some kind of historical value. I think a 10-20 million dollar beach front home would be worth more to me at least then a 40-50 million dollar home not in a tropical area in a building.

    Yes, definitely ridiculous :)

My favorite is Luton Hoo, in England. It has 400 rooms (I believe) and was on the market for 25 million pounds. It's hard to imagine people living in these places - same goes for the Newport mansions. Of course, these were pre-income tax :)
Luton Hoo was purchased and is being turned into a hotel. Shame...
