I have the Bburago (or it it Maisto...?) white open top model and I'm not impressed. Plus it fell off the shelf (damn kitites) and needs replaceing.

Who makes the best one? Does Hot Wheels? I know most people knock Hot Wheels for lack of detail, but their paint is VERY nice, and that is VERY important to me. Bburago/Maisto paint sucks.

I have 3 maisto, 2 bburago, and 1 Mattel F50's. I must say that the bburago ones stand out more. Although, they are all evenly matched. Paint wise, Mattel is better though.

I really wish autoart built ferrari models. I bought a murcielago for a friend and that was the best model I have ever seen. There are only a few models I would pay autoart prices for and the F50 is one of them. I have Bburago and mattel and i like the Bburago better just because it is built(and bought) in Italy. But the paint does suck.

In my experience the lower quality brands (maisto, bburago & mira) paint their door jams and inside pieces (under hoods, under engine lids, inside trunks) with just the overspray from the body paint -- it looks awful IMO.

    Luke.

What colors configs did the HW F50s come in?

They don't make red f50 in hotwheels. And IMO, I prefer burago f50 over the hotwheels f50. :)
