    Hi,

just wondering how many of you are collecting BBR Models (or Ilario/MG/AG/Gasoline)?
I think it is nicer to buy 1 nice BBR model then 3 or 4 ugly Mattel models.
Thats just how I think about it, what is you thought about it?

    Ciao,
    Roel

BBR does a great job with the building. However there 24th scale kits are getting sloppy. I am a dealer for BBR and ordered 12 of there 24th scale 360GT's. 10 kits came in with broken parts, 8 of them were broken bodies. The bodies that were not broken had warped roofs. All were missing a metal plate that goes below the rear diffuser. Then I had to wait about 6 months to get some of the replacement parts. And I'm still waiting. Not to mention the replacemnet bodies were all warped.

I like the builts and the 43rd kits sell very well. But I'm not getting anymore 24th kits. Just not worth the hassle.

I collect 1:43 Ferraris... some are Minichamps, Herpa, Vitesse, Bang, Best, Art Models, and yes a few BBRs. I love them and wish I could afford more of the BBRs.

ED - I may contact you if you have any 1:43's for sale. I have a growing "wish-list".

    regards,
    Greg

I collect these 15 models over 3 years, so it's like 5 per year. Also, some of the models are bought directly from BBR so it's way cheaper than ebay. e.g. the yellow enzo on red leather is only $200, but on ebay its over $500. And the middle F300 X-Wing is $200, but on ebay its $400.

In fact, a lot a lot of people collect way more minichamps and mattels that may cost a lot more than my collection. So it depends on how you look at it.

Thank you. The black nose is one of my favorite because of its special meaning.

I just received the F300 X-Wing yesterday and it is the best built model I have ever seen from BBR. They nicely reproduced the dirt and oil after the race.

Do you know that all the F1 models built by BBR will not have Marlboro decal anymore? It's kinda sad.

yeah...i heard that too......fortunately i'll be able to have MARLBORO decals produced for me as i am going to do my schumacher victory vignettes with the HW MATTEL f2003ga....i'd considered doing either the TAMEO or BBR version of the cars, but since i am doing a run of 10 or so and i am a 1 man operation, it just won't be cost effective for me....i'll do the BBR for MY collection!...

BBR does a 308 GT4 which I think is discontinued? I've seen it on ebay run upwards of $200 That is really the only GT4 model I've ever seen that is worth collecting.

Yes, there was. There were three issued from BBR - Red (most common), blue (same color as Marconi Museum car) and black.

Blue and black have been spotted before (and I didn't buy the blue when I had the chance), but red was the most popular.

It was also issued in kit form (make it any color you want) but I haven't seen the kit available either.
