456 Spider
No and no. Not by Ferrari anyway. Ferrari built a one off TR spider for Agnelli , and several were made by custom builder such as Straman. As for the 456 , the Sultan of brunei bought a Few 456 Spider called Venice that Pininfarina built for him ..ANd i think Straman in Cali built one that was supercharged as well..
I think there may have been a one off 456 convert made for someone.I thought i remember seeing one somewhere.
Those look like scale model kits. I heard Michael Jackson had a Testarossa spyder, but that could just be an urban legend. As for the 456, there is one in Ft. Wayne, IN. It was a Stramann conversion (thus, not a "production" model) and it's supercharged. It is owned by a real estate developer in the area who also owns a speed shop specializing in Ferraris. The car was for sale, and may still be. Check www.exoticperformanceplus.com to see if it's still there. (No affiliation, etc...)
OK, thanx a lot. I've also seen some of the Sultans 456 - one of them was a stationwagon. (niiiiiice.........not) hehe Paul
A docotr i know named Dr.Weber has a TR spider I think he told me he got in done in Florida. Its red and it has some slight other cosmetic work on the side i think if im rembering right. Also he had the interior switched with like some weird fluffly material. The interiors not as bad as it sounds trust me you'd like it. Its aweasome. Hes got a rip in the cloth being held together by staples though. Its kinda funny. Hes also got a really nice 360Modena F1 with challenge grill and a Euro Lowered 911 turbo with carbon fiber rear wing and carbon fiber all in the interior. Hes also got a beat up pick up truck that looks out of place whenever i go over to his house.
Yes, shese are scale models - found them on ebay.DE They still have the 456 - no price though.....but I bet it costs tons of dineros..... The car looked cool with the top off - but with the top on, it looked like a Golf or some other lame car. I'm also glad they never produced a Testarossa Spider - it just didnt look right.
If you want I can find out the price of the 456 cabrio for you. I will be talking to someone there tomorrow. I think it was in the mid $90's if I'm not mistaken. The guys there are realistic - they know what their cars are worth and they know a conversion will never be as valuable as an unmolested original car.
The Sultan's car is now in the Marconi museum South of LA. Koenig made a twin turbo charged TR spider: If those are 1/18 models, I'd love to know where to get one.
If it isnt too much trouble for you, then you could check out the price on it - I dont think I can afford it anyway. This country has a pretty messed up customs service(Norway) If I decide to go to Germany to buy myself a used/new Ferrari, and imprt it to Norway it will probably cost me exact twice as much for what I bought it for in Germany. I "hate" this country.......2 feet smow outside, and cold as ****.
If you click in on WWW.EBAY.DE NOT .COM - and make a search for Testarossa 1:18 - you'll find a bunch of them (not the Spider though) found only 1 of that. But beware, most germans dont send outside of Germany, some send to Europe. But check it out after all.......thats free.
HAHA So you know about our Trolls, thas cool. They live in the mountains and deep in the woods. Just kidding, they are everywhere, there are 4 millions of them - but now in modern times they are called Norwegians!!
Wrecked Ferrari, I know how you feel - there's at least 2 feet of snow on the ground here and the temp is about 1 degree F (I don't know what that is in degrees C, but it's F***ing COLD!). NOT good Ferrari weather. That's why they have Cavallino Classic in Florida this time of year! I'll check on the price and let you know. Brent
Brent. Where do you live?? Colorado???? I dont understand your temprature system but if you got snow, then I know how cold it is. here its -10 below zero right now. (in your freezer you normaly have -20) I'm a truck driver - that dosent makes things easier! Paul
I'm in Michigan. We have had a lot more snow than usual this year, but it is always cold this time of year. I don't envy you being a truck driver in that weather...
No kidding????? have you been in Norway???? Because it IS actually a troll there (model) And I know exactly where it is too, I'm in sweden once a week (50% cheaper food Coke and cigarettes. I live 18 minutes drive from the border. I dig this Troll you posted, brings tears to my eyes, reminds my of my old grandma' (appart from the nose though) Cool post man.
If I remember correctly there is one under the Ballard Bridge in Seattle. Last I saw of it, it was keeping the hulk of a Volkswagon Bug trapped underneath. DJ
Yes I have been to Norway. Actually I liked it a lot. But living there is different, I can imagine. Also been to Sweden and Finland. Liked Sweden's capital the best. As I approached the hotel I had that sense again. The sense I get when there is a Ferrari nearby (no kidding). Sure enough, next to hotel was a 355 parked.
Cool. Do you remember where in Norway you was?? I agree with you, Stochholm is a pretty cool city - so many wierd people. And yes, there are "a lot" of Ferraris in Sweden, last summer I saw a yellow 355 Spider on the border (there's a marked there) A couple of years ago I was outside in my garden, and suddenly I heard something that was veeery noicey, and I turned around and Norways only (at that time) Lamborghini Diablo drove past my house.... (I live in a quiet and nice naighborhood) and I was just stunned...I looked like Homer Simpson..."mmmm Diablo....." And start drewling and stuff.....LOL That red 91' Diablo ended his life on the highway 10 minutes from here, the car was totaled - the only thing not damaged was the engine, so it was sold to Sweden for rebuild.
