Are we talking the black one? Looks good, you should be able to knock of at least 5K of the price if not more. I paid 38K for my 93 with quite high milage and never missed a beat i the summer i owned it.
On the Autotrader site, i found it funny that there is a replica Diablo for 45K!! Then the next car down the list is a real one for 49K, no brainer really:(

    Hi Steve,

I spoke to the owner a few weeks ago as I'm after one as well however just a matter of timing it right.

I got the whole speel (spellcheck) and the guy did have the salesman patter although a private owner. The car was for sale for 65k at Amani's place in Manchester for some months but didnt sell. The owner told me he got the wheels for free and a hell of a lot of work FOC as well from Amani. Apparently only done 800 miles (i think) since he got it. Apparently clutch went within first few weeks of his ownership however replaced FOC.

The best man to ask about Lambo's would be Carlo at Armadale (01501-731-823). Although he has a lot of diablos of all ages, all are in fabulous condition and well looked after. He will I'm sure be able to give you some insight into this particular vehicle. This one does interest me alot especially as it is the cheapest VT around at present (my budget is about 60 - 70k) but with wheels etc and being a subtle colour is perfect.

Let us know how you get on.

    Regards,

    Matthew

The black Diablo is quite a nice car owned by a chap from the village i live in who is a local builder, the value he places on the plate i think is quite high but the car its self is a nice pamperd example which i understand he has spent a small fortune on keeping it tip top and it is the 4wd model, but diablos are now 15 years old and are looking a little dated when you look at a 360s Lhd and 550 are in the low 50k price bracket now and are more recent cars, but a Diablo for the price of a Range Rover i know which one i would buy!

thanks for the replies guys, only just started looking at Diablos and there seem to be quite a few out there for sale, I have also been in touch with a guy in Saudi Arabia about a LHD 95 VT, which may be worth looking at as it is priced in $US. And it appears for not much more I could buy an SV, just dont know enough yet to make a decision.

tried to call the seller of the car in autotrader tonite but no answer, will let you know how i get on

IIRC there was a thread on F,chat not so long ago about a guy who imported from Saudi, i cant remember but i dont think he was very genuine. Do a search to see if the dude is the same guy.

The Diablo may look dated, but I think the looks of the car are about 90% of the appeal.

I saw a Countach yesterday and EVERYONE turned around to look and point (ignoring my 355.... :( ), even in 2005 people are just as blown away by its shape.

I used to own a gorgeous Black countach and for me, I had more attention in that than anything else I've driven. . . My Diablo had some attention, but not as much as the Countach.

Still, the 355 is a beautiful car and much easier to live with. . .

would be in terested in hearing about your ownership experience with the Diablo, I wouldnt consider a Countach, I am more interested in the Diablo as it is an easier drive. Would you recommend a Diablo after owning one?

I think this car used to be owned by a business associate of my father,a nd had the plate "DAN1 O" at the time. It was also the first Diablo I ever had a ride in ( Karl V was driving)

P.S. Chaa, thanks very much for the DVD. I did try and PM you, but your box was full
