I see what you mean about the rear lights. This is what I found about requirements but I am not sure it answers this question:
If it is a true Lotus, then its light-weight should more than make up for its engine being slightly less-powered. :)
I like it, only the cockpit seems a bit too bulbous as if it was designed by Boeing or something.
I dunno; but still, extra weight wouldn't affect the top speed (which is their main goal).
