That's a common problem with consistently short drives, especially in cooler/wetter areas.
Check for gooage in the coolant tank as well.
1. Was the cap on tight enough (good sealing)?
2. Is the car driven for only short trips?

Please post a photo again if you can. Also, your comment about year-to-year differences is very important, and market as well (U.S., Euro, etc.).

I love the look of the original TRX tires, but not at today's prices. So I took on a project to replicate their look. The bonus was a phenomenal...

Jerry suggested Tire Rack, and you can't go wrong with BF Goodrich tires. I had a set of these on my 348 (but different sizes):
