    Well, Bale was good but not amazing IMO...he really chewed the scenery in the early scenes. Kind of a "please nominate me" kind of performance....

    I disagree. Check out Cop Land...Stallone gained a lot of weight to play a downtrodden town sheriff. I thought he was really good, as was the movie.
