If your humidor is already seasoned I'm not sure why you would want to do this.... Definately do not over saturate them with water... Slow...

Definately do not toss them. Then can be revived by humidifing them again. If you want a more "set it an forget it approach" you can use...

Just be very careful when you unscrew the drain plug. Mine snapped off when I was draining it. Luckily thanks to BT's ingenuity all is well.. :)
