Thank you! I'll do that as soon as I figure out how to edit a post ... !
It's there as an attachment ... scroll to the end of the post ... Bob
While waiting for delivery of my 488GTB some of my Ferrari ‘buddies’ decided to play a joke. The ringleader (we’ll call him Fred for anonymity)...
Get Rosso Corsa and save a bunch ... the metallic is not that much different. My 'must have' options; LED steering wheel Shields Logo on seats...
Be patient ... you'll eventually get three photos. My dealer also was ignorant of when to expect them. :)
Fantastic! Congrats - what a great project. When I made my comment I was limiting myself to 'terrestrial applications.' :-) "Space" certainly adds...
VERY nice! I always told my design engineers that 90% of possible future issues could be solved by paying attention to cooling and connector...
All very interesting. Leakage in the range of a few uA is not a problem. Sounds like you had some fun design times. BTW, LED's do not degrade...
Yes, agree! I'm sure all the lamps (displays) are scanned at some frequency and none of the switching is simple ON/OFF is these complicated cars....
This is not a safety or major issue ... its a silly design fault. Yes, these LED's are 'switched' via the brake pedal input - simple on/off. LED's...
:-) Excellent and well done! You sure confused at least one dealer. I love it ...
Curious! What are 'glowing Rear LED's?' My dealer here (Ferrari of Washington) cannot find any info on this? We looked up the build sheet for this...
I would guess yes, but don't know for sure ... hopefully others will provide more feedback.
Interesting thought. I have done a lot of digital and analog (I'm an old guy) design and I would be surprised if the car didn't use a common...
I checked and the LED's are illuminated (weakly) with the running or off on my 488GTB Good idea about build dates ... mine is MAY 2018
Agree with all. I am an Electrical Engineer with considerable 'real-word' experience. My first thought was - as you noted - poor ground. But since...
This 'issue' we're discussing has nothing to do with the battery tender ... the problem is that those brake light LED's are partially energized...
Here's a photo of the rear of my 2018 488GTB ... yep, those LED's are slightly on. Exceedingly poor design ... [ATTACH]
This is an interesting discussion ... I need to look at my 488 in the dark! I wonder how long before Ferrari has a recall on this.
I noticed the same thing ... I guess the "idea" is to just to give you enough time to get to or into the car ...
