Yes, Nick, I figured out the "speed up" secret for my (our) car. Of all the good things about the car, and F-cars in general, the electrics are...
Help! Italian wiring strikes again. My left turn indicator light randomly comes on and stays on, and the turn signal doesn't work when this...
Interesting circumstance Rob.....mine is a bit different, and any insight anyone has will be appreciated. My '97 (high mileage and with no cats)...
Sorry. Didn't mean to rile anybody. I'll search a bit on another area of F-chat.
Anybody on here know what's happened to "Rifledriver" (Brian Crall)? He was relocating to Austin late last year but I haven't heard anything more....
GSJ: I'm in Texas....I'm betting your rebuild guys are in CA? you didn't put any contact no in your post. Hope to get the starter off this...
Thanks once again for the reply Terry. Once we get it out we intend to see if it can be rebuilt. Would rather not spend the 580+ bucks for a new...

Additional thought: I think my fob is "talking" to the alarm system because.... I followed this sequence: battery cut-off ON, no LED light...
Next step is to get the car up on a lift so we can access the starter and eliminate that as a problem. I still believe it is a fob - alarm system...
The sound of silence....the magic three pushes and viola all is well did not work. I'm pretty certain I shall go crazy. Any other ideas?
The latest in the saga of the F-car that would not start. Today battery was check under load....good voltage. Key fob battery ditto. All fuses...
Quick question, is there a sequence that you follow after turning the battery switch back on? Do you have to first arm the system and wait some...
Fbb: Thank you for the good suggestion...will check that this weekend. I'm sure I'll post a progress report.
