Valves were good...and just a slight adjustment on the timing. The bearings were in good shape, but the front bank bearing feels a little...
I got a Kriket tension gauge like this one fwiw....you might find one cheaper as I don't remember paying this much for it....
Don't mean to stir up the issue, but FWIW.... Just changed the belts and bearings on the 328. Last change was October of 03' and about 5k miles...

I've used 25 ft./lbs. I couldn't find anything else to indicate a specification...but it seems to be a common spec for other parts. Watch for leaks...
