in my humble experience, most smog shops dont know what the stock exhaust looks like, so as long as the monitors are set ( depending on year) and...
civic center way has a bunch of parking, and the car park behind the office building there is huge and empty... no shop owners to piss off.... if...
check the interior panels are folding correctly, and moving out of the way of the frame as it colapses, its very common for them to get stuck in...

If they're selling the car with a 2 year warranty , i don't think you have reason to be concerned....lots of variables go into a compression test...
Have the transmission checked by a Ferrari dealer or independent that is capable of repairing the DCT....458 great cars..

diag equipment is available and works well... its not cheap , but then neither is Ferrari or Lambo diagnostic equipment.. I haven't had problems...
Of course its eventually down to personal taste, as always, but bang for the buck, its really hard to beat a Mclaren, especially for $100k........
