Presumably the lexan windows still have to electrically drop to break the seal on the door every time you open the door?
I had exactly the same happen to my Scud about six months ago. I thought it was badly broken. Shut it off, restarted it and it never happened...
I have the same - leather with fabric inserts - the leather holds up very well, mine is 09 and the bolsters are still perfect.
aren't the originals nickel plated? I could be wrong but thought they were.
