Yep as said before I don't do short runs and always get to temp and the fans come on, so no issue with it getting warm enough
Dipstick only has oil, the mayo is just on cap and around the tank neck

Now that I seem to have solved the strange misfire I have noticed a bit of 'mayonnaise' in the dry sump tank. How worried should I be about this...
OK I think it is now fixed - probably by fitting NOS Magnetti Marelli ignition modules. But just as they seemed to work I had a very strange issue...

Thanks, I didn't set the carbs myself but will get them checked
So I now have a system which is - magnetti (original) coils, magnetti NOS amplifiers, silicone 7mm copper leads, zero resistance plug extenders...
I do the same - run fuel pump for 30 seconds then FULLY depress accelerator 4 times - turn ignition and it catches easily (1980 carbed 308GTB)
I get that but why would zero resistance wires etc from the dizzy to plug cause upstream issues with the amplifier that (if I am right) amplifies...
Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but would like to know why you think zero resistance in ignition wires (and if relevant extenders and plugs)...
Any thoughts on plug leads?
