I suggest that you find a welder that can run a weld around the inside of the bearing. Shrinks the bearing so it is easy to get out

From the information I collected over many years, the diff 'usually' fails when slowing down. This is IMO due to the shape of the helical gears....
512M was the only Testa with the updated Diff that I know of.

Its best to use a Dowty washers, then you only need to pinch up the fill plug lightly for it to be leakproof? When you need to take it off again...
