I am looking for a company to ship a truck from NY to CA.

I called our sponsor Intercity first, but they were unable to ship a truck that large (H1).

    Anyone have any suggestions??

I think I can only ship it open trailer.

In the past I have had some trouble with shipping companies picking the car up & delivering it anywhere near their promised times - I am trying to avoid this kind of headache again!!

I have recieved a quote from Dependable (DAS), but am looking for a few more alternatives.

Please let me know if there are some good, reputable companies out there.

    Thanks!

Exotic Car Transport has had excellent reviews by people transporting H1's and other large trucks. Owners said they received the truck with no problems whatsoever. I would take a look at them if I were you.

i had my 308 shipped by horseless carriage. don't know if an h1 willl fit, but i liked their service and they were prompt. picked up the car days earlier than competitors and delivered the car exactly when they said they would.

How bout the US Army? Heck we'll even pay for it ;) J/K. Can you put that sucker on a train? It may be a cheaper alternative. Congrats on the H1. Did you get the kevlar plating upgrade? OK, I'll stop........ :)

    Hi Jerry,
I was very happy with the performance and pricing of NEWMAN INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORT, for their shipment procedures of my 92 Mondial. (813) 224-9219 I don't know what their limitations are but it's worth a buzz.
    Cheers, Hank

Horseless Carriage is the company Ferrari USA uses to ship their cars, I don't know if they can handle something like a H1. DAS had helped me twice and a friend of mine once, all three trips are from NYC to the West without any problems. They even delivered the car into Manhattan for me during one of those occuations, anyway, I would feel very comfortable with DAS again.

I would highly reccomend Gary A. and his private single car enclosed transport. Its a 3--4 day coast to coast with no off loading during transit. Approx $ 1800.00. He is great to work with has worked with many F chat guys. pm me if you need his #

Jerry - I used Exotic Car Transport for the 348 and was happy. They called several times en route and were right where they said they would be at the time they said they would be.

Congrats on the H1 as well. Do they make a Tubi for that?

    Cheers

    DAAAAAAAAAAYUM peeeeyomp!

You pulled the trigger on the blue H1. Let me congratulate you once again! Stunning car. If you can't find a transport comp, my previous offer still stands. :) :)

Good thing your wide rear affliction is only limited to cars. :D If you had the same taste for women, you would have to compete with Carbon for the big mamas!!! :p :D

Nice going Jerry. Between you and Jeffrey, I am not sure who is the bigger peeeyomp!!

    Good going zen!

    bows down to Jerry

Who said accountants are boring?

You are reminding me of Tom Cruise from Jerry Mcguire movie. Balls to the walls playa with the ego in full bloom!

    Rock on!!! Woot :D

Can you say? SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!

F40 - I sold the Wrangler a few months ago to a friend. I have been driving my wife's Land Rover Discovery that is now up for sale.

What about one of those driveaway services whereby someone drives the car for you?

    or,

    Try:

    United Road
http://www.oviss.com/ (page for a free quote)

They are a sponsor for the Manheim Auto Auctions.

    or,

call a local Hummer dealer and see who they recommend.

    very nice set up

i believe they also have some flat beds
    nice ones

just tell them you have a hummer and let them figure it out

Just had my car shipped two weeks ago and will recommend doug. He has a two car transport, unlike the big company. He also accomodated my time frame unlike intercity which would of probably took two weeks longer. He is a car guy too, so he will take care of yours. Very satisfied with his service. This is his website. http://www.cobracountry.com/safetransport/home.html Call him on his cell. Good luck with your shipping. PM me if you have any questions.
