    No, I am not selling it. I don't know who the seller is, just bumped into this on eBay as a coincidence.
    If it's still drinkable? Well, I don't know..... ;) If it has been Eurocaved all the time, maybe yes maybe no.... Doesn't matter though, today it's a collector item anyway....

    Very nice tread, just died off a little bit, so I thought I'd put in my contribution.

    After a long winter here in finland, one can get really really really easily excited about anything with ferraris..... So, last week I had my first ferrari drive this season, with a 360 spider F1. Driving along, jumping in the car, screaming for myself, and enjoying my life with a great big smile - spring is great - yes, it was +14-17c so ofcourse driving with the top down all the time :D

    Anyways, along comes a tunnel, a short one, but we dont really have long ones here in Finland. I have been thougt that every time a tunnel comes while driving a ferrari, the following procedure needs to be done, no matter what weather. slow down, let most cars pass you, open windows, or top in this case - and then nail it ! And so i did, and you know after 6 months oh my good I have missed that sound - it is just so swee-eet.

    Well going up thrue gears till third and feeling like I'm having the best time of my life, I plop out from the tunnel - only to notice that on the other side of the freeway theres a major truck check. Which means that over 20 polices and alot of police cars where there - and everyone staring at that tunnel and listening to the ferrari opera. Not like I was speeding actually that much over any speedlimits, but kind of felt guilty anyways - so what do I do, uhm, Smile and wave to them (kind of a reflex I guess) and what do they do ? Many of the 20 cops waves back !!!!!!! :D :D (guess they have reflexes also)

    And then everyone continued doing what everyone was doing. life is just so great sometimes :D

    My contribution to the exciting F-Stories.
    Some years ago was visiting Turin on business trip ;in the evening got to say hallo to a friend who opened a car dealership. The idea was also to sell the old Fiat Tipo of my wife and to take a smaller car ( I remember looking for the just introduced Renault Twingo...). While being there , my friend Marco told me that he had a nice car in the garage and invited me to have a look at. For pure curiosity walked down the ramp in the semi-dark shop room. Between old Fiat`s and used Mercedes , could see a kind of exotic silouhette, very impressive. The quarter back view was attractive and exciting, a kind of stranger bird. Although engineer and familiar with Ferrari Racing ( used to work for an important supplier of Maranello ) I was at that time not attracted by the production F-Cars and barely able to distinguish the different models. My friend told that he had to sell this car because the owner ( a Notar) bought a new Ferrari and , in order to make room in his garage ,had to de-select one of the 4 already owned. We walked over again and he informed me about the model ( 308 GT4) service history and other details.Before living he reminded me that within the next day had to sell the Ferrari or to send it to another dealer in Modena.
    During the night went I back to the emotion risen by the stranger bird in the garage; I never had the idea to buy a F-Car , to me was completely stranger . However the next day called my friend, asked to prepare the documents ( the price was really attractive ) and 17:30 was there to pick-up the car. After one minute briefing ( never pull the choke, key on, blip twice the gas pedal to feed the carbs, start...) you cannot imagine the feeling to step in a Ferrari ( never done before ), engage the 1.st gear and run ( tricky to find on the spot the retro ). That night drove back straight home in Pescara ( 650 KM ) and was really a kind of magic trip, in the warm air of May down on the Autostrada del Sole charmed by the sound of the engine ( windows down , A/C was virtual ). Arrived home at Midnight , parked the car in the garage and went to bed; my wife and the kids were sleeping ( the youngest one was 4 months old...).My wife asked me why so late and my reply was : have bought a Ferrari and just drove down . She did not realize until next morning when got to see in the garage the blu GT4 and phoned me at work asking about her Twingo....
    After 12 years the GT4 is almost part of the family but ( sigh) we cannot fit all 4 inside like we used to do originally.
    Take away of this story :
    - Fiat Tipo can run very high mileage
    - Never visit friends who have a garage
    - Be crazy ( not always )
    - Do not be afraid of new things and....enjoy the music

    @Nicke,
    what a wonderful reading....I can feel & hear it:) This tunnels are built for us!!! Whenever you are in Italy, try to dive around the Lago di Garda! 30 km`s one tunnel after the other! All tunnels are natural! A must go & drive for each passionated F driver:D

    @morcal,
    I agree with cinque - we wanna see some pics :) - great story and thats life!

    Great stories guys, keep em coming.

    Not funny but nice story - my Aunt's boyfriend has an 8 year old son, Harry, who is a car nut and loves Ferrari's. They told him to expect a surprise last weekend and asked me to pop over. Took him out for a ride, took a photo of him in the drivers seat - he loved it and apparently has not stopped talking about it since!..nice to share it sometimes. Cute kid, clearly with good taste!

    Thanks for the compliments, the moment was great, as the whole drive.

    Ferraris are not that rare in Finland anymore, not common either but we have tens of them, maybe even 100+ . Older ones a really rare, but I heard of a 250 recently...

    Now if we only would have tunnels as in Lago Di Garda, thanks Wolfgang for the tip, I am planning/dreaming of a driving trip in Italy.
