What is FE? That's one I didn't come across in my search. Must be a rare bird. I agree these are good stablemates. Different strokes on different days. Jim
FE = Final Edition (last Viper GTS's built in 2002) Here's a pic of my red gal... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Exactly...and still, no matter what car it's on, nothing "pops" quite like Rosso Corsa. I can catch just a *fraction* of a glimpse of Rosso Corsa out of the corner of my eye 1/4 mile down the road, and I instantly know...FERRARI!
Nice. I like the stripes too. Is there like a 1/200 designation or something? Special trim package? jc
Haha. Yea, if you want to be particular. I think you're right! Then I guess we have to go to the archives to who built the first red car! Prob Bug'i or something.
Mine is #236 Wonderful car - she gets the most comments of any of the toys by far. Seems to be the most beloved by friends and family - it just strikes a chord with folks. I found it amusing to watch the neighbor kids walk right past the Elise and Ferrari to check out the GTS a few weekends ago, hardly giving the other toys a second glance. I have to say, that's my favorite part of owning the Viper...it makes people happy when they see it, especially little kids. You can just see their eyes light up when they see it coming down the street. I remember seeing some crazy cars when I was young and the impact they had on me - I'll never forget the first time I saw a Countach in person and I was just floored. I've taken to keeping a disposable camera in the Viper so when kids come over to take a peek at it at gas stations or restaraunts I can take a picture of them and their mom or dad and give them the camera. Makes their whole weekend for about $3.00 and leaves me feeling good about "recruiting" another car nut for a future generation. Here is some info on the Viper GTS Final Edition : "The Final Edition GTS, which debuted at the 2002 Chicago Auto Show (Feb 02), is the last coupe version of the Viper made. Only 360 were produced. Special features include a red with dual stone white striped paint scheme (the same as the 2000 Daytona and American Le Mans Series winning Viper GTS-R), red-stitched, black leather steering wheel and shift knob, and a sequentially numbered dash plaque (1-360)."
