Finally, after so many years of growing up and 2yrs of painful wait in a 348 & I have now graduated to the 12 cylinders family! It's a 1990, ZFFAA17C00084786, Rosso Corsa with black interior. Has tubi, HID, Ta-rox discs, 355 wheels & a pair of 355 CF challenge seats. If everything goes well, I'll have it by Thursday & I'll post the pictures.
congrats!! i've driven mine almost everyday since i bought it a month and half ago, and it's tremendous fun! can't wait to see it with 355 wheels! john
Congratulation John, and a very warm welcome in the "Proper Ferrari's have 12 cylinders in the rear" Club Wolfgang
Hey, Wolfgang now I'll be taking mine up in the Malaysian Peninsula like you did in the German forest. It's time......
LOL, sorry but couldn`t resist to steal your i.e. "the best quote" I have ever read Well, next time........ "Proper Ferrari's have 12 cylinders in the rear" *copyright stefe f*
wtf???? sorry.. what I meant was congrats... haha since when? I just sms-ed you on sunday.... We've got to talk and I got to see it.... I guess the 4200 didn't measure up after all.
Hi Tuck, the Maserati was just S$5000 shy of my offer but I know that once I go modern, I'll never buy a Testa anymore. I just had to have a 12 once in my life. Thank you guys, you are all making me more excited. Speaking of the "M" lights, I saw that they were "just" less than GBP700 each from UK, you sure they didn't overcharged you?
Jon, Told you over PM but now out in the open....Congratulations! You're making my decision all the more 'decisive' now. Give me a tink when you wanna go thru the Malaysian Peninsular. I know some good, clean, untrafficated, un-policed roads that we bikers use for 'exercise'. Now I've got to get me a 12 too!! M Lights ? Stevef replaced his a while back I think..
Does anybody knows if a 1990 has ABS? What kind of upgrades are there compared to the earlier ones other than the waterpump. You guys have a link to where I can buy that CFibre engine cover with a peek-a-boo? Isk, I'm waiting for you ya, buy a cheaper one since we don't get to use it so often & the TR has quite bottomed. I find it's bling factor one of the highest on a street car in our area. The owner drove it up to my office & a crowd peered over it, the Tubi helps as well
No, they don`t! Proper Ferraris have 12 cylinders in he rear WITH NO ELECTRONIC DRIVING AIDS!!! Wolfgang
Hey Wolfgang, not so funny when you had to slam the brakes in an emergency. My friend had a horrifying experience on the highway once when he lock the wheels @ speed which made the tail swing & almost lost it. Ok, all documents have been done & I'm looking @ my name on the registration, few more hours & I'm taking her home
Jon, without any doubt, the testarossa is a BEAST and should be driven very, very carefully or from an educated driver. I have also lost twice my rear - but god bless on the track and nothing happened. The brakes are horrible and the same **** like on the old (1991-1993) Diablo. take care & enjoy the beast Wolfgang
Hi FF. Well, they were all from Hong Seh before didn't they? No, this is from a private party. This is the car that made me give up my 348 1.5yrs ago when I first saw her but deals came & went & it finally came back to me out of my wildest dream because I feel this is the best Testa in town for me. Like what my friend said, "It's back to the rightful owner" & I saved S$15K for missing the previous deal which doubles my happiness http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=135787807&postcount=3432 Pictures will come when the sun rises....
Glad we have a public holiday here & a last minute meet-up was arranged with two 348TS, 355GTS, my Testa, Range Rover, Maserati QP, two 911s, BMW & a few Alfas including GTAs.
