Yes, I'm sure it is - there's a photo in Prunet's book, and it's white/blue and the scoop on the rear wing and the deflector on the windscreen match.

Here are some Scuderia Bear photos from the 60's. The images are property of Peter McKelvy. Please do not reproduce. (I have noticed that someone has reposted a few of the images that I have shared with fchat)

Scuderia Bear was owned by Peter's dad and raced in the 50's and 60's. These are some images of cars he campaigned including 3223.

    regards

    Ken

Ken,,, Those photos are great and the color is vivid. Were they scanned from color slides? Thanks for sharing, David

Yes, a majority of the images were from Kodak ecktachrome (sp?) slides that had not seen the light of day in 40 years.

The last shot is the classic start to the 66 le mans. Scuderia Bear had a gt40 but it crashed hard in practice. I was given a print of this image with the photographer stamp on the back showing him to be located in Le mans.

Thanks for sharing those great photos.
There are some stickers on cars #17 and #18, "Prestolite", a sponsor?

    Great period photos.
Someone can distinguish the registration plate of this SWB ?
on the second pic the plate size seems quite different.
Do we know the s-n of this Berlinetta.
    Regards.

Thank you for sharing these evocative images.
The round chromed device behind #2643 door (pic 3 of post #1029), looks as a torch to light the "21" on dark hours. Please confirm it and if possible, supply a close shot. Tks a lot.

I know nothing about this photo other than I believe it was taken in an English speaking country. Found it in an old box of negatives.

Looks like a 340 Mexico, cant work out which one...its LHD so that rules out 0226 AT.

One of the 340 coupes was sitting on a used car lot on the north side of Sunset Strip, across the street from the Playboy Club in 1968, and was for sale at $3500. I should have bought it :(

Boudewijn, the wheelbase on this red car is much too short to be 0267EU (of course the doors and rear fenders are wrong as well). I agree with Cyril that it is most likely 0036M.

Now, 0226AT and 0036M were both in the northeastern US (Massachusetts) in the early 1980s (and just prior to a complete restoration of 0226).

    How weird is this....?
I was researching the Mexico picture that David posted, and was looking at a couple of pictures at Pebble Beach of Zambrano's cars, and i thought to myself, hang on a minute, some guy called Zambrano bought something from me the other day. When i checked back, indeed it was Lorenzo Zambrano. He still has 0228 and enjoys it very much.
I'm hoping he will reply to a few questions i put to him.:)
