My 599 is status 20

When my car was at status 20 it took another 5 months to get it.
Prepare to be patient....

 

either its a joke or your dealer took the car from under you. from status 20 it takes another 30-35 days to have the car prepared for shipping

 

Status 20 is "scheduled for production" and it may take from 2 to 5 months (in US) for actual delivery(my car was delayed because of some glitches at the factory).
I think European ,ME markets have quicker delivery process..

 

When you actually see it, you'll know where it is......

 

mark i think you are wrong. my scud was at stage 20 two weeks ago and was told by FNA that it will be shipped before the end of the month, here is what i got

10 - Orders accepted
20 - Chassis assembly (at Scaglietti)
30 - Painting
40 - Assembly line
50 - Assembly line (engine/transmission)
60 - Finishing
70 - Testing
85 - Storage
90 - Water (intransit)
92 - PDI completed
93 - Shipping to dealers
94 - Dealer stock
94 Red - retailed
95 - Submit to factory

 

Spec'd my 599 last April. Told May production. First production day May 25th. Came off the line June 15th. July was a total write off. Worst month to ship. Everybody in Italy including the factory practically shut down for summer holidays. My 599 arrived at my dealer in IL. AUGUST 19th! Good Luck! Don't worry its worth the wait believe me.

 

My car is at stage 20 also. My dealer told me that they don't hear anything between stage 20 and stage 70, so he doesn't know exactly what stage the car is really at now. Mine is a June production, if that gives you any idea.

 

there is always a two month in between when you spec your car to the day they start production so i think you dealer gave you the wrong info. you car was a june built july delivery

 

The only reason I know the first and last day of production is because that's whats stated in my build VIP book. Initially i was suprised when I came in and was told that my car would be built within aprox. 30days of being spec'd. But when I called mid July for a progress report . I was told that my 599 was already on the boat between ports. For some reason it took aprox. 3 weeks to transport from NJ to IL. Was given no reason for the length of downtime. Or if it was really on the water mid July at all. All I can say is that I was just happy to get it when I got it.

 

Mine was at build stage 20 on 18th March, it rolled off the production lone on 8th April and I collected from my UK dealer on 25th April
