a waiting for the pre-xmas purge and then the new years purge when people realize their credit cards are due.
OC temporary location is empty too next to FoOC. The new building is gonzo too. Someone said it's the Newport European facility but saw some Rolls etc. outside of it today so they may be just for show. Yea, apparently the Feds swooped in a closed them down.
I bought a 07 lp roadster if anyone interested PM me. yellow with two tone interior with 2,500 miles. lots of carbon fiber options. pm me as I rarely log into this site
Not true! I drove by today and there was a small folding chair perched in front of the doors in the entry-way.
So I went by Calabasas Lambo last night on my way to my parents house.....Sure enough it was completely empty. I apoke to Jeff, the security guard hired by the bank to watch the facility (I guess there are a few items inside that are worth some $ that they don't want Vik taking). The sad part is that some lady was having an major done on her Lambo and now it's gonna be real hard for her to get the car back and the engine is out!!!! It should be on the news tonight.
I was just thinking the same. What are the people who had their cars in for service going to do? Pick up the car and parts and go elsewhere I guess.
But Vik need to give the local SOCAL community that has supported him for years, a reason and explination. Look....Lambo OC did not close it's doors at the snap of a Banks decision...it was probably in the making for months. What we Lambo fans want to know is.. "Will the dealership re-open soon?" Vik basically surprised us all by quickly closing the doors. It's because he suddenly closed his doors, that "untruthful" rumors are flying. It would have been nice for Vik to give notice..."Hey, business is slow, we are moving to a new more cost-effective location." I speak for everyone, Vik is a a great guy. I have met him 2 times. His dealership is known for being honest, no-nonsense business friendly dealership with great customer service, and top notch service department. We all wish Vik the best of luck, and we as a community support him and wish him continued success. Vik knows, the economy will turn around, and Vik will be again throwing lavish big parties again. Best of Luck Vik !!!!! Thanks, UZY
I don't think Vik is coming back. From what I heard, he owes Audi over $14 million, the private bank a few million and he is behind in the rent. What is it with Lambo Dealers going out of business? Remember Nadar from Auto Market. I will be at the sale though
UPDATE: There will be a re-opened Lamborghini location in Orange County. It will happen very soon and possibly as early as next week. That's the latest from 2 separate reliable and credible sources.
One thing that I would be interested to know is if the closing of the dealership was only related to poor Lambo sales and a slumping economy. The people who normally own exotic car dealerships have them as part of a larger portfolio of investments so is it possible that the Lambo dealership became one of the avenues the bank chose to get back funds that were lost elswhere? We will probably never know but I believe that it takes some doing to amass $14 million in debt.
They have already started to show up, and not just with us I am sure, I hope enough come in so I can give work to some of the guys who lost out in all this mess...
Damian, I'm all over your hype, not because of (you know) but because you truly are a quality human! Dave
Too many dealerships for the number of cars sent to the US. Also, Audi did not control US supply as well as they should have
OC Register article at http://www.ocregister.com/articles/lamborghini-orange-county-2218874-keuylian-cars
"No sign explains the closure or tells customers where to go for repairs or how to pick up cars on order. The answering machine on a phone at Lamborghini Calabasas, also owned by Keuylian, said it was not accepting messages." That really sucks. What'll happen to those who have put down their deposits?
Here are before and after shots that I captured of the dealership. There is a Versace Roadster and White Superleggera in the photo on the left and an old chair for the watchman and an empty showroom in the photo on the right. Pretty sad to see this dealership go so quickly. Hopefully it will come back soon.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
http://jalopnik.com/5078260/worlds-largest-lamborghini-dealer-closes-its-doors Even Jalopnik has run a story on OC Lambo's closing. It sounds like they even reached Hip-Hop Joe for comment, "Gallardo owner Joe Madeuplamboowner commented 'Son of a b***h. Where am I gonna get my baby serviced now? I got a load a strippa's I got lined up to show this car off to an the damn thing has one a dem idiot lights on'."
