Hi, I recently purchased a 08 f430 with custom 1 piece HRE rims. Was thinking of switching them back to stock, any opinions? (also tpm dosn't work with the current rims/tires).

I am new at all this, but my opinion is to go with stock. I also recently purchased an 08 spider. I love the " stock" look and feel. To me all the non stock rims get old, very attractive at first but with time I always want to go back to stock. There are some exceptions, post a picture of the current rims.

IMO those don't really suit the car but the only person it should matter to is you. If you like OEM wheels better, go for it.

I like the wheels, but not more than stock. Its up to you. Size wise they look a little too big.

Ferrari wheels are part of the complete engineering of the vehicles they produce for that year/make. With that said, I would stay stock. I am not saying that there are better/lighter rims out there, which there are. I think Ferrari needs to stay Ferrari.

I would only change the color of the stock rims if I did not like the look (ie. gold rims are not my cup of tea)

That HRE is probably lighter than stock and is a excellent rim however, that rim belongs on a porsche or ford gt for aesthetic purposes along with functionality. I have that rim powder coated in black on my 997 turbo.

Thanks greyhair, when I bought the car those were the rims it came with. Couldnt wait for the 458 spider so got this temporarily. Would like to switch them back to stock that are powder coated black (car is black/black). Any idea where I can buy them for a good price and how much the hre's are worth? I also have the original red Ferrari cover that I want to get rid of for a black one (all my cars are black on black, and the cover draws attention to it which I don't like)

I am not sure where to get your best prices and where to purchase the stock rims. However, some other members here should chime in to help you.

Those HRE's look like the P40's (not sure). Take a look on e-bay I thought I seen some there. I am not sure if they can cross over to other vehicles. If they could you may have a better chance of selling them. However, some 430 owners may like the look of them. They are a good rim. Good luck

Get a set of stock Challenge Wheels. IMO, they looked the best for the car.

Those don't look bad. I would like to see a pic of the whole car. I would still prefer the stock. I like the standard 430 star design better than the challenge.

These wheels are similar to Champion design RG5 for Porsche but without the lip.
