I wonder if anyone have informations about this 275 GTB rebodied in the late sixties - early seventies era in south america. It was called "275 Camilo". This is the only pic I have and I know pretty nothing about the car.
I think the car has been rebodied in its original forms since. Any other pictures ?
    Thanks for sharing.

This is NOT a 275 GTB or a rebody of a 275 GTB. In fact it is the rebody of 250 Testa Rossa S/N 0738 TR. Sold new through Carlos Kauffmann to Jean-Louis Lacerda Soares of Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1958 and raced locally by Escuderia Lagartixa, which he owned with Chico Landi and Luciano Della Porta. The latter drove it to 4th place in the 1959 Brazilian GP. In 1960 the TR was bought by another Brazilian, Giorgio Moroni, who again finished 4th in the GP. In 1964 he sent it back to Modena where Piero Drogo fitted it with GT bodywork (NOT to be confused with the GTO-type body fitted to 0716 TR by Drogo!). Back in Brazil it continued its racing career, winning the 1965 Rio de Janeiro Grand Prix do IV Centenario in the hands of Camillo Christofaro. Immediately after the race it was bought by Claudio Klabin who, the following year, exchanged it for an Alfa Romeo 2000 Berlina owned by mining magnate Paulo Cesar Newlands. He raced it several times before selling it in 1969 to an unidentified American living in Rio de Janeiro. In the early seventies he sold the car back to Camillo Christofaro in Sao Paulo, where it remained untouched until Colin Crabbe found it in 1986, brought it to the UK and sold it to Bob Rubin in New York. In 1989 Rubin sold it to Paul Vestey in the UK, for whom DK Engineering did a full restoration, A new pontoon body was made by RS Panels. It still has its original engine. In 1995 Vestey traded it with Symbolic Motors of La Jolla/California against a 330 P3/4 and the following year Symbolic sold it to Brazilian collector Carlos Monteverde. Here are a few more photos showing 0738 TR after its arrival in England in the 1980s. Highly recommended further reading: Chris Nixon's book "Rivals - Aston Martin DBR1 - Ferrari Testa Rossa 1957-1959". See also "Prancing Horse" magazine, the publication of the Ferrari Club of America, issue #102 of 1992, for detailed histories of all Drogo-bodied Ferraris. Photo #4 shows 0738 TR as it is today, taken during the Cavallino event at Moroso January 2005. Photo #5 shows the chassis number stamping "0738 TR" on the frame.

    Very interesting!

    Minor point.
    0854 is a 412P not a P 3/4.

Sorry, I disagree. As said in my earlier posting #2 (line 4) the rebodied 0738 TR MUST NOT BE CONFUSED with the quite similar rebody of 0716 TR. Your two photos show 0716 TR, not 0738 TR. Here are two photos showing the rebodied 0716 TR again, the first photo was taken by Botti & Pincelli in Modena at Drogo's in 1964, the second comes from the Edwin K. Niles collection. Note major body differences between 0738 TR and 0716 TR. Cockpit air vent in sail panel behind side window, cutaway/air vent in rear fenders, different nose, different tail, different door handles, different shape of rear fenders, more GTO-like on 0716 TR, more flat on 0738 TR, hood bulge and air intake, etc.

Many thanks Mr Massini (amazing as usual) and CMAFLEXA (for those pics I haven't seen until today).
    Very detailed and informative.

Obviously the car was very tired when it arrived at DKENG'... (to say the least).
