I have read in a couple of different magazines and also on barchetta.cc of the possibility that there is an ex works Testa Rossa either TR60 or TR61 in Australia, possibly with someone called Blandon ??.
Have any of you ever heard of this ??
Is it another Ferrari awaiting discovery ??

Unfortunately that is just a rumor with no basis in fact.

    I agree -- just a rumor.

On the other hand, both 250 TRI/60s, 0780 and 0782, are unaccounted for. Both were presumed scrapped by Ferrari after accidents. (Oh, no, here we go again....)

0780 did NOT become 0808. I have carefully examined the chassis of 0808 in company with Umberto Masoni. It shows no signs of ever having been a 250 chassis, with no welding, etc. At this time Ferrari found the order to Vaccari in March of 1962 for the chassis for 0808. This is why the descrption in the catalog for the Sotheby's auction at the factoy was modified.
