    Hi,

I noticed my AC blows low, not so cold air. I was doing a lot of searching and research last night and some suggested looking at the fuse in the front right area under the felt cover as a first place to check. I was looking around and wonder how hard it is to get the felt cover off to check the electrical area for the fuse and potientially an overheated / bad contact. I wondered if anyone can point me to a website with pictures or have any tips to removing it.

    Thanks!

You just need a phillips screwdriver. Several screws around the a/c intake on top, 2 screws on each side of the liner on top, and several screws on the three metal bars that are horizontal, but located halfway down each side of the liner.

Once you remove the liner, you'll see the A/C fuse. On early model 348's it's a blade 30 amp fuse. On later models, it's an inline straight wire type fuse.

Spray a good electrical corrosion block/remover on it and the nearby ground connections.

Chris: For a first, basic check, just pull up the rubber seal on the right rear corner of the trunk compartment, and just lift up the liner. The relays and fuses are right down there. For good access, you have to pull the liner out of the trunk, but sometimes you can spot a problem this way.

Thanks! Simple enough. I check this and that is not the problem. I am still amazed to the condition of my 91 348TB :)

On a similar note, I notice today an almost stall when starting. This is the first time this happened. Based on other searches, maybe my compressor is going out and that caused a bigger pull at startup. Any thoughts?

Something else I noticed is that the dash control buttons seem to be off by one. For example, select an AC button, turns on the light to the right of the button pressed. Related?

    Thanks!
