I found this picture on f-Chat. Are these 360 Stradale (sp?) wheels on this 348? If so, do they fit correctly, where can I get a set, and how much? I love the way they make that 348 look modern!!

Just by eye I would say that those are 360 Challenge or BBS CH rims. NOT Challenge Stradale rims. Either way they look really good on that car and I am not normally one to deviate from the OEM look.

    Robert,

After a little more research, I believe you are correct. These are probably 360 challange wheels. I'm trying to determine if anyone here has experience with the 360 challange wheels on a 348.

    Thanks.

I spoke to BBS and they mentioned that the BBS CH wheel is the same as the 360 CS wheel, though under agreement they could not sell the CH with a bolt pattern for a Ferrari. So what does the wheel cost from Ferrari?

    Jerry,

I have now bought a set of 360 Challenge Race wheels today, but I still have to pick them up.

The sizes that I have been given are Front 8J x 18 ET (offset) 31.5 mm, Rear 10J x 18 ET 39.95 these are the standard offset for a 360 wheel which will fit a 348 ok.

I will let you know more when I try to fit them.

    Regards,
    Phil.

    Phil,

Very happy to know that you have purchased the BBS wheels. Be sure and let us know what size tires you select.

Thanks for the offset info. Great information.

    Matt,

I'm just quoting what I've read from other postings from this web site.

1.) Ferrari will only sell the 360 challange wheels to 360 owners, or maybe someone who has a correct VIN number and is dealing with a "friendly" Ferrari dealer.
2.) If you can purchase them from Ferrari, I've heard they are $5,000 - $7,000 per set (without tires).
3.) Some of our sponsors have adveristed $4,500 to $5,000 per set (without tires).

If anyone knows otherwise, please correct me.

    thanks

    Jerry

    Hi all,

Tyre sizes are going to be front 235/40/18 & rear 295/35/18 and I`m looking at Michelin PS2 as first choice with Pirelli second choice.

I will be sure to post pictures when I have them on the car.

    Regards,
    Phil.

That is a good choice in tire sizes; I but 18 inch BBS challenge wheels on my 360 and they are actually a little wider than the stock 360 wheel, so when I put the stock size tire on those rims they looked a little narrow and don't offer much rim lip protection, not that I intend to hit anything (except Catherine Bell if I had the chance, see Bikini thread)

I have Bridgestone S02's in those sizes on my '94 spider - mind the front fender lips. I had to have mine rolled just a bit at the top. Rears are fine on mine but with the 360 offset you might just check to be sure. Otherwise those sizes work a treat on the 348 especially in the rear.

    Cheers
    Kevin

I have 355 Challenge wheels on my 348 and they look great. But I have to say that those 360 CH wheels are stunning on the 348!!

    Let's see some photos!!

    Kevin,

Your wheels look like they are a three piece variation of the BBS 360 CH wheels. Do your wheels have the same offset as the BBS 360 CH wheels. See earlier posts in this thread for dimensions.

    Thanks.

Actually I think mine are probably older Speedline/Cargraphics wheels - they are definitely 3 piece but don't look anything like the BBS wheels. They were on the car when I got it so I didn't put them on. Having said that, they are 18x8 and 18x10 and if I get a chance I can try to measure the backspacing the old fashioned way and then derive the offsets.

    Cheers
    Kevin

I'm confused-can I buy the 360BBS CH wheels for my 348 spyder direct from a BBS distributor or only from ferrari? will the wheel bolts fit right in or not?

Some of the sponsors here sell those wheels; I don't think you can get them from BBS directly but I could be wrong. I got mine from Bentley Silicon Valley (formerly Ferrari Los Gatos)

angelo- i got to meet you some time. You spotted me in a 360 (silver ) spyder with a blonde at fulton and fairoaks a while ago.

As for the wheels, we have the 18 inch challenge(bbs). I put them as well on my 360 coupe. The 19 inch (bbs) stradale wheels are not available unless you have a stradale. i can get 2 sets but they are not cheap. Even at my cost. if interested my email is [email protected]

Last I heard, Phil was having his BBS Challange wheels machined a bit because the offset was not correct. I too am excited to see pictures when it is complete.

They are the same as what? The spoke design looks different. If they aren't the same size then they are different. Am I missing something?
