So apparently I wore my stock pads on the 360 spider out the other day at the track. Time to replace them.

Being about as mechanically minded as a toothbrush any advice?

The dealer is of course recommending Ferrari stock ones.
Others in the club are saying A1 something or other are the way to go.
    Then there's the Pagent Black.

Have been told to keep away from Pagent Blue and EDC due to squeaking.

I drive 95% of the time on normal roads doing the speed limit the other 5% is on the track. Of course in an ideal world i'd have two sets of wheels/tyres/brakes, but back to reality what do you recommend?

    Cheers,
    Matt.

only if you start talking CCBs :D

of course you need them for the 5% of the time that Sue kicks your arse on the track in the 360 :D:D

I was just reading the times for the skidpan :

    Matt 360 spider 34.21 52.81
    Sue 360 spider 33.25 51.34

take the keys off her and never let her near the car again !!! :D

On a serious note Matt, 360C or somebody sensible who has or have had a 360 should be able to recommend. My 2c would be stick to original for the use you give it.

I totally agree with horse. 95% road use and 5% track work. You are better off sticking with the stock pads mate. You do not want aggressive track pads if you mostly drive that bad boy 360 on the streets and not the track. Firstly...would be overkill and secondly would wear your brake rotors sooner than expected. :) Stick with stock pads IMO. :)

Thanks. What concerns me is how quickly a day at the track chewed through them. On the road they would last for years, but a trip to the track and they've pretty much had it. Kind of looking for a happy medium. Either that or I swap shoes when heading to the track. This is how it starts isn't it... I'll just get a spare set of pads, and some racing wheels...

Was that your 1st track day Matt with the 360? The track day wore the pads out?? Were they new pads? How many km's on the pads before you hit the track?

Nah got two track days and the, er, skid pan day that we shall never mention again before they went. So far as I know they were new on the car when I bought it. I've put about 4000km on it since i've had it. Which judging by the previous owner means i almost need to get rid of it :D

Sh*t hey. :( Well, Im sure there is a good 'in-between' pad that would suit your needs. So ill let 360C field that question. He should know of some good pads. Shame FF is not here to give you some more info in regards to this. Im sure he has been down this track many times before. Maybe...........it would pay to have a 2nd set of track pads and fit them on track days. As much as you dont want to do that, it may be the best option. Stock pads for road and a good set of track pads when needed for track/skid pan days. :)

The new Pagid RS29 endurance pad is low(ish) noise great bite and modulation, along with being great on the track, without any hangups being used cold on the street. You are looking at close to $1K wholesale for a full set (front and rear), so perhaps stock is a better alternative.
