Great looking 575- I almost boght this car. Car had heavy collision in front and back. What is interesting in dealers listing he claims no known body work,no known paint work! You can actually see in pics where clear coat was blended in center of Q.P. and leaving an edge. Also he has 100% feedback?? other people have left neg. feedback but he pays ebay to arbitrate it and have it removed!

How about posting the VIN # so people will know the car you are referring to, as well as the link to the item or item#.

how do you think these folks with tens and even hundreds of thousands of feedbacks have 100% positives?

statistics happen. no way around it. though magically they apparently don't happen to these guys ;) .

If you have a buyer dispute, you can "file" this with ebay. Messages are sent between buyer and seller, each MUST answer in turn. An arbiter (yet mostly an autoresponder, unless you use certain inflammatory phrases to rile the ire of an actual human being - voice of experience) responds in turn, giving you some time to respond or it 'defaults' to the last responder, generally 'siding' with the last responder. Not always, but generally.

In time, each can agree to negate the claim/drop the dispute. This renders a '0' or a 'neutral' to BOTH buyer and seller. That is a WAY simplified version, but essentially that's it. Obviously, persistence pays, and if you have a so-called reputation at stake, you hang for the duration.

On the seller side, I've had some very bizarre occurences for which this process was mildly curative (not money wise, but creating for the loser/fake bidder/liar a difficult and deserved hurdle.) I'm equally positive that the buyer side has horror tales due to the distance/anonymity factor so pervasive in online commerce.

I'm neither supporting nor discreditiing this "massaging" of number to attain 100%, but this is a far cry superior from the 'old days' of gut feelings and 'geez, he sounded nice.' No, it's not perfect either. But that's the way it works for now.

The vehicle being discussed is a blue 2003 575M F1, s/n 133729, VIN ZFFBV55A430133729, being offered for sale by the Auto Toy Store in West Berlin, New Jersey.

The eBay auction number is 250200173908, and a direct link to the auction can be found here.

In some of the photos, particularly this one, you can clearly see the poor blending of the paint. However, I'd love it if someone could provide documented proof that this vehicle was involved in an accident. Does anyone have access to CarFax to run the VIN? The auction claims "excellent paint," but does not state 'no known body work' or 'no known paint work' as the original poster claims. To the original poster's credit, though, I could've sworn it did say that the last time I checked this thread and the auction, when it was originally posted a few weeks ago.

Carfax does not show any accident history, however,Autochek(Ebay direct link)does show it under thier history. Dealer removed the "no known paint work". They should be upfront with people and let them know there has been substantial repairs! Nose is over about 3/4" it was never pulled on a frame machine-You can see a crease on the drivers door from when the nose was pushed over!

Funny how they have over a dozen shots of the front of the car and the wheels, but only one or two of the rear and the quarter panels. Shady.

In fact, they removed the photo that I linked to in my earlier post! I guess I should've attached it. That is shady and completely dishonest!

EDIT: they removed that photo AND NONE OF THE OTHER PHOTOS!!! Just that one! I feel sorry for whoever buys this car. It looks like it's in great condition, but even so they're not going to be getting the full story.

that feedback system can often hold sellers at ransom. Sellers who make there living on ebay can tarnish there entire business by some jerk off. You can perfectly and honestly describe a car, have an inspector come and look at the car per the buyers request and then when the guy gets the car he will make some dumb **** up to get money out of you or he will threaten you with a negative feedback. So the only way from keeping from getting extorted sometimes is to take the negative feedback, and then open up arbitration with ebay. In these unfortunate instances they only remove the score, not the slanderous remarks. BY the way, it has to be very very clear to ebay to remove feedback. They make it very difficult and it can't just be done by paying them money. we are talking about hours and hours of time involved here.

Same works in reverse. Ebay's system is flawed and they seem to have no interest in fixing it.

I made sure to post both the VIN and the s/n before it will be removed from eBay entirely. Hopefully, a potential buyer will do a search on here prior to buying in the future. There's not much else we can do.

It did not end early, and it did not sell at $122,900. Hopefully, potential buyers were 'watching' F-chat too. Good job, all! :D

If it shows up again, could you contact ebay and have it removed?
