Hi everyone, Iam on the hunt for a 07 599 and found 2 in my price range at dealers...I have to trade my 09 4 mile Viper ACR in..Anyway one is Grigio Silverstone/Black 6spd.-Manual with 650 miles..The other is Rubino/Natural more options but 5.8K...F1 trans.. I know its personal preferance but as far as trans only which one would you get and why...The car will be used as a w/e and good weather driver...Thanks,Kevin If anyone knows of a 07 599 for a fair price optioned nicely send me a pm...especially dealers as I have the above car to trade...NO Black,RED,Silver.......Rubino,Yellow,G.Silverstone not in that order..
Lots of threads on this. Over 90% of all 599's were ordered with the F1 tranny. Resale alone is going to be higher with an F1. Many complaints from cutomers regarding the manual as being both stiff,notchy and overall a frustrating experience.According to the factory this car was made specifically for the F1 and you will not be disappointed. I have owned an 07 599 GTB and would never ever consider owning a gated version.
As Speed Racer said this car was designed for the F1.I have one and would never want a manual on a newer model.You will be pleased with I am sure.If you really want a manual save a few dollars and get an older model.Good luck!
Thanks guys,thats just the kind of input I was looking for.!! F1 it is..Damn I wish I had the cash to pick up a GTO,just beautiful......I was looking at Murcies but the closest dealer is 7 hours away plus I have been a Ferrari fan since I was very small,lol....The 599 looks to be a beautiful and powerful example that I can treasure for a long time.......Anything to look out for on a 07..?? Of course I will get a PPI prior to any purchase...Kevin
I've heard that the manual cars don't "feel" right, this is probably because the car was designed to be equipped with the F1 trans.
