    I should've been more specific :)
I've searched all over F-chat and found the same 5 pictures over and over again, the one I just posted and these 4:

But there has to be more than that! I don't even have hi-res of the last one.

Not daily but well driven. It's called the F-50K.

Takes a good bit of work to keep it in the great condition it's in. My favorite shot is of doing a clutch job.

that kind of pics scare the hell out of me about owning an exotic

I'd hate to know how big the repair bill was.

looks like a magician's act ! even I doubt that cut off was strictly necessary was it?

    It was not cut off!
The engine in the F50 is part of the chassis structure.
The front portion of the F50 is attached to the front of the engine,
and the rear suspension and transmission are attached to the rear of the engine.
The picture shows how they access the clutch.

I love that picture :) Shows the true nature of the car, the transmission being part of the chassis like F1 cars.

Everyday someone asks me a question that, in turn, is a perfect example of why serial numbers are so important...

104092, 062/349, black with a black interior, red inserts. This one's in Texas... Was in California a few years ago...

104799, 125/349, black with a black interior. This one's in Louisianna... Was in California a few years ago...

106615, 224/349, black with a red interior. This one's in Switzerland...

If there are other black ones, we don't know that they're black...

I don't know what you mean with "we" :)D) , but you can add 104969 (133/349) which was seen several times in Monaco (also by myself) on Italian plates. I believe the car was also present this year ....

And you can also add 106505 (203/349), which I also have as a black F50 ...

Edvar, thank you... However, this car must have been repainted because when you saw it in 1999, it was still red...

"We" :))) have no information on 106505, so this helps; anything else you can provide on this car would be greatly appreciated... Thanks, Edvar...

FüX0r$...! You're right...! i read it wrong; my apologies...

See what a little discussion about serial numbers can do...? It brings out the heavy hitters and information flows freely... Thank, Marcel... :)

I think this somehow is an error. It will sound strange to others, but can you send me a PM with the details of where I saw it in red???

See below for pictures of the car, that I took in Monaco in 1998 and 2000. And I just checked: the car was also present at the F1 GP of Monaco in May 2005 ...

I will send you a PM with details ...

Actually the car was daily driven by its previous owner in New Orleans. I know this because I lived across the street from the guy.

Rain or shine that thing was on the road. I used to see it at the grocery store, in rush hour traffic, at the bank, everywhere.

Every night I would hear him come down our street (Pontchartrain Blvd, on the lakefront) and I would run out to my balcony and watch him drive by & turn into his complex.

My GF at the time used to call that car "Diablo Negro" in her beautiful italian dialect because it sounded so damn mean when he drove by, clutched, downshifted, and turned into his complex with the exhaust protesting the whole way.

    Black is so sinister.
