The original price was 280. He will be lucky to get 150. 575's are dropping fast.

Mark- I think he will be ecstatic if he gets $150K. The car is probably worth that much, but the Maranellos, like the Daytonas in an earlier time, are undervalued right now, regardless of model. The European HGTCs received 540 hp engines, we received standard 515 hp 575M engines because of emissions and testing requirements.

Interesting...Does anyone know whether there were any 575 HGTCs outfitted with 6-speed shifters or are they all F1s?

ketel- Beats me. Part of the HGTC package was quicker F1 shifting, but that ECU would not even have been fitted to a six speed, so it certainly would have been possible. Would have been a bloody rare car, I expect, if any were built, and likely a special order. Anybody know for sure? There was a technical bulletin on the HGTC package, but I do not have it.

Thanks Taz. I don't want to get into a whole "575 F1 vs gated shifter" thread here because there are passionate converts on both sides; but for my money, if there existed a gated 575 HGTC with all the add-ons of this Rosso Corsa 575 in, say, TdF Blue/Crema -- holy crap -- that would be nothing short of spectacular.

ketel- I now have the HGTC technical service bulletin and there is no mention of availablilty or non-availability of a six speed manual option. The F1 ECU parts are spelled out as part of the package.

^Heh, I'd be happy with a standard 575 of course

Anyway, beautiful car...the second one is nice too, I love bordeaux/burgundy interior.

So what do you think the final price will be? $120/$130k? Just out of curiosity ...

kara- No clue. Bidding is at $105K right now with reserve not met and four days to go. The car has very desirable options plus HGTC, but relatively high mileage for a 2005. Just depends on how badly someone wants one. The one Darth showed was very attractive and stated to have low mileage. HGTC cars do not pop up that often. I have seen more Superamericas with HGTC than 575Ms. The Superamericas were so expensive, another $25K was not much, I guess. Plus HGTC came with no warning to dealers the brakes would squeal like they received with the FHP package.

If the Maranellos ever become collectible, the HGTC cars will be at the top of the heap.

Darth- Is the car you posted for sale and do you know the asking price?

Darth- Time capsule car. Would sure be nice. Silver and red is a beautiful combination, although I actually prefer the red and gray.

For those of you wanting three pedals, how many have actual driven a well-sorted V12 F1?

575 asking prices have been dropping at a healthy clip (finally). i noticed maser of sac dropped the black car by $10k+ and Fof Seattle has a burgundy car asking $109k. apparently some minor paint work but still. the rest of the ebay 575 are moving down also.

i'm bidding on this red car. i'd be shocked if it got anywhere near $150k.

I actually like paddle shifters in the 360s and 430s but never cared for it in the 575. I am not saying I'm right, just a preference.

henry- Good luck on the bidding. A really nice find if you pick it up at a reasonable price. Impossible to duplicate on a non-HGTC by adding parts since the parts retail for $tens of thousands, plus it has the carbon interior, which is also too expensive to retrofit.

The right side sill plate base is broken on my car and we have ordered a replacement. It retails for $42. The replacement cost for carbon fiber is $1100.

So get one with the options you want.

In this case it's true, though. You could order it with a 6-speed. Won't be many out there, but I'm sure there are a couple. Personally, I have no idea why people want an F1 shifter in a Maranello.
