Here is what I have collected during the years, and after diving deep into the archive. Pls. let me have your comments, corrections and added models (612, 430 Spider, 430 CS, 599, 2006 F1 etc.)

As you can see, I have also added some ???? where the time / info seems to be contradictory.

Thank you, interesting progression model to model. Curious, you reference a track change in the late 80’s. What did this involve? Did the track times increase or decrease for the same car? Thank you, John.

The track was modified and the overall length increased. Built: 1971
    Modified: 1996.
Meaning that following cars have been recorded on the old track (I would believe):
    Ferrari 288GTO 1.36.00
    Ferrari Testarossa (1984) 1.36.00
    Ferrari 348TB (1989) 1.37.00
    Ferrari 456GT (1992) 1.40.00

I don´t have the details. -Perhaps someone on this forum ?

  6. Some interesting notes:

    Damn the Enzo is fast!

The F50's time is clearly incorrect. It weighs 1229 kg. The F430 weighs 1435 kg. That's 500 lbs!!!

F50 has 513 hp, 347 ft/lbs torque. F430 has 483 hp, 343 ft/lbs torque. And their times are listed as equivalent...

It all boils down to bhp/ton: 424 for the F50 and 342 for the F430. That is an ENORMOUS difference on any track - it is almost the same difference between a standard Mini Cooper and a Porsche 997.

To match times, the F430 would have to have far superior traction and balance, yet the F50 is world-renowned for its traction and balance. EVO named it the best balanced ferrari supercar of all time, and the best ferrari driver's car of all time.

The 360 CS and F430 have the same track pace, and are quicker than the mighty F40. Can't wait for the F430 CS.

Damn the track-legal challenge cars are fast!

Felipe Massa did a 58.244 Friday in the new F2006 (?). Just a second and a bit slower than the F2005's best time.

Don't be too critical of the V8's before you hear them. I'm sure they will sound a hundred times better than the V10's which were an aberration in engine design (like all I5's and V10). They were used just because they were the best compromise for an F1 engine from a power and packaging point of view - later they were made mandatory by a rule change.

V10's never really sounded special (compared to the old V12's and V8's) with their uneven firing order - it's just that the piercing nose of the high RPM's made them sound impressive. And don't forget that the V8's will rev even higher! Also, Schumacher stated that he loves driving the new formula...

Is the time for the Maserati Trofeo for a standfard Trofeo or the Trofeo Lite? It seems too quick for a Trofeo.
