    8. Texas Raceway at Kennedale, Texas, which opens this Friday night, March 14 for the new season.
    As the announcers used to say in the 60's "Sunday, Sunday, Sunday at Texas Raceway. Come see and hear the fury of 2000 horsepower cars as they blast down the strip in dizzying arrays of speed. Feel the ground shake as these cars roar away from the starting line. Sunday, Sunday, Sunday, at Texas Raceway.........Be there or be square". Except now it is Friday and Saturday nights.

    Texas Raceway was started by Bill Heilscher, Mr. Bardahl of Green Valley fame, after Green Valley was closed down due to urban sprawl and noise laws. Bill passed away a few years ago.................Happy Trails Bill!!!!!
