Well I just changed my antifreeze after 2 years. I'm using low tox phospate free stuff and when I drained the old stuff it looked brand new. So maybe I'll go to 3 years next time. While I was in there I mofified the heater hose that runs into the main hose under the steering rack. I drained the system here and spliced in a flush tee . So next time I just remove the cap and drain the system. Then drained the block petcock and I was done. Now when I fill the system I take out the bleeder valve in the rad and push on a piece of clear hose and hang it from the hood like an IV unit. Fill the rad tank and watch the hose. I usually get 90% of the air out this way. I ran the piss out of it today and did another bleed and its good to go. Enjoy the ride

Sure hope you changed out those nasty corroded hose clamps while you were at it. That rust is not going to help where it contacts the hose.
