I've had my 430 spider 6 speed for 3 1/2 years now and after getting a Scud I thought the challenge grill would look good on the spider. I don't think they were available in 2005 but not sure. Anyways I started looking for a used one as you know how expensive anything from Ferrari is. I found one in the UK and the price was right. Had it shipped to San Diego, got it painted and spent the day swapping it out. I did notice with the bumper being Euro it didn't have the side reflectors otherwise everything is the same. I'm posting a few pics showing before and after. Needless to say I have a like new standard 430 bumper I'll be putting on the ads. Anyone have any idea what it would be worth? Thanks in advance.

Looks great with the challenge grill on; can you share the cost of a used grill and shipping cost as well. I plan to get a used one for my F430 spider.

Looks very good - saw a factory 07 Silverstone / Crema car w/ the Challenge grill this morning while in Denver - looks particularly good to me on a gray car.

I've been thinking about installing a scud rear w/ exhsust outlets, etc on my spider - Seems I'd lose the rear parking sensors...any thoughts?

Pretty straight forward. I did it myself in about 5 hours. You remove the diffuser, inner fender rock shield, 2 heat shields and 2 of the smaller pieces in the engine compartment. There are a stack of shims that you fine tune the fit. I paid $4500.00 including shipping from the UK. Next on the list is a scud front bumper.

    1) as an engineer I'm guessing the stock grill flows perfectly fine, or the Ferrari engineers would have made a larger aperture standard.

    2) as the owner of a Silverstone Spider with the stock grill by choice, I see this as a distinct step down. Looks like I'm in the minority.

    3) if I had a 16M the first thing I'd do would be to trade the nose and tailpieces for stock Spider items. Again I guess I'm in the minority.

Sorry to be so negative. I can't believe how clean it is, its better than my Spider and I have less than 1100km... And I can't believe you personal hydraulic lifts with Ferrari logos! Forza Italia, dude!

I need my lift until after Bella Italia the first part of April. I had to finish the 430 bumper then next install the custom adjustable coilover shocks I had made for the blue Dino then I start on the 73 GT.

Frank- You are definitely in the minority.

Jon- The same kind of magic as on the nicest Dino 246GT on the planet, only a few orders of magnitude simpler. Looks great.

Did you miss the shields on the vertical blinds in the background? The blinds are hiding Jon's storage shelves!

Nice... I, too, like the Challenge grill on the F430. Since the upgrade is considerably more involved than on the 360, I hadn't heard of anyone actually doing it!
