In reading my manual I am a bit confused. Am I right in saying that the button on the console closest to the dash emits conditioned air to defrost the windshield. The middle button lets non conditioned air through the vents, and the rear button recirculated conditioned air? My manual says that in normal driving conditions tha middle button (non conditioned air) should always be pressed. Am I understanding this correctly? Thank you for any input.

    Dear Ferraristi,

I believe the 512TR shares the same HVAC system as the Testarossa.

First, if the button is NOT in the stop position, you always have the AC on.

The wave line is fresh air + AC.

The recycle symbol is recirculate. This is the outside vents are closed and inside air is recirculated.

The defrost button shuts the front vents and opens the windshield vents...to defog/defrost.

The toggle buttons with the "triangles" on them are to direct air to the foot wells. One for the driver, one for the passenger. As you "open" the air to the foot wells, the lights on the display will illuminate.
