Apparentely Edo Competition came out with a new package for the Enzo... Germanys Edo Competition is an expert when it comes to modifying ultra-rare exotics so who better to tune one of Ferraris fastest and most exclusive cars ever produced the limited edition Enzo supercar. Squeezing more power from a highly strung engine like a Ferrari V12, where peak power levels are developed at lofty heights of close to 8,000rpm, is no easy task, but somehow the tuners at Edo have managed to churn out more than 700hp (514kW) from the stock cars 6.0L mill. The Edo tuned Enzo now delivers its peak output of 700hp (514kW) at 8,200rpm and 715Nm of torque at 5,800rpm. This is enough to propel the car from 0-100km/h in less than 3.5 seconds, past 200km/h in 9.5 seconds and 300km/h in 22 seconds. Top speed is a claimed 370km/h. By comparison, the standard model produces its peak of 651hp (485kW) at 7,800rpm and 657Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. The increase in performance is courtesy of a new a high-flow exhaust system derived from the same unit as in the FXX, with a new catalytic converter, sports muffler and a custom RAM intake system. The muffler system features an electronic valve that allows you to adjust the performance and volume of the exhaust with the touch of a button. Also new to the car are a set of custom lightweight wheels, a new clutch and FXX-spec transmission programming. http://www.motorauthority.com/news/supercars/edo-competition-700hp-ferrari-enzo/ Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
FXX Derived exhaust? How exactly can they say this, it is so clearly not, how could they get close enough to an FXX to do this? It looks like a ****ty Capristo to me. Tubi Straight-Thru will do just fine, although I do like the look of those KW's... Regards Michael James And would you really put Pilot Sports on your Enzo with those disgusting wheels???
So they got 49hp from just putting a high flow exhaust on it? I feel like the stock one isnt that restrictive.
+1 It would have looked much better in CF/black. Not my cup of tea, what they did to MC12 was amazing but this is not something I would do - just the performance modifications would be enough.
It's the headers that are FXX derived. Can't really see them too well here. Plus, they had extensive access to an MC12 Corse, so FXX shouldn't be too hard to get at for them... Seems so. 700 hp sounds like an impressive figure, but when compared to the stock output it's not really that much of a gain. Why not focus on reducing weight, like Mr. G did in the P4/5?? Buy a Tubi, strip it down, keep the stock wheels, and save some money. And look better, too. Man that thing is ugly.
I know of an Enzo that was stock except for a normal Tubi exhaust that dyno'd at 705hp.... Every Enzo left the factory with different HP because they were all hand built every engine was different but the homologation was 650 hp so they just had to make sure the engine had 650 or higher HP. I don't find it to impressive that they just got to 700hp with those mods....I think that car should be making a lot more power.
Where are the video clip ? I mean, with the technology we have nowdays how can a company like that have a press release without some video stimuli ??
Looks pretty sweet. Can't wait to see it when it comes around town next time. Image Unavailable, Please Login
